having owned an intex 12 ft pool for 3 years I knew the filter/pump that came with it was adequate, I still had to empty and refill about twice during summer (maybe I wasn’t keeping on top of water maintenance)
but in May 2021 I purchased the smaller Intex sand filter SF90220-1
wow wow wow
purchased 32/38 adapters for connecting and just swapped the pump
even after a week of neglect ( a quick shock) the water looks like I’ve just filled it with fresh water

great pump and filter, despite some issues with connecting it(it was only supplied with one (outlet)) it to the pool and delivery. I ordered the 38mm stuff, so with only one valve i was stuck as the pool was being used already - a quick trip to the local fish pond shop - 38mm tank connectors - boom. I have had my pool (or at least my 6y/o daughter's) up and running for 8 weeks now, in the UK the weather has not been great, but nonetheless, we have kept the pool running and sparkling clear, largely because of the filter. And yes we have been swimming in it with the help of the SUN.

Amazing maintenance is no made simple I won't be going back to cartridge .. Water stays so clear day after day pump only runs 6 hrs a day as where cartridge have to be left on 24/7

Great unit

Really easy to set-up and once done performs far better that the cartridge filter ite replaced. A major upside is the consistent performance without the need for constant maintenance.
