How does a solar shower work?

A solar shower heats the water within its dark-coloured tank using only solar energy - completely without electricity. The process is brilliant and simple: connect your garden hose and then use the mixer tap to mix in the heated water to a comfortable temperature.

What materials are available?

Plastic (PVC): Lightweight, affordable, and heats the water very quickly due to the material's thermal properties. Perfect for those looking for an entry-level solution.

Aluminium: Robust, long-lasting, and a visual highlight for any garden. Aluminium models offer a more premium aesthetic and greater resistance to the elements and weathering.

What are the differences between the various tank sizes?

20 Litres: Ideal for 1 to 2 people or a quick, refreshing rinse between swims.

30 Litres: The perfect all-rounder for families, sufficient for approximately 3 to 4 showers.

40 Litres: Maximum comfort for multiple users or extra-long warm showers. It is worth noting that while a larger tank provides more warm water, the sun will take slightly longer to heat the full volume to its peak temperature.

Does a solar shower need to be dismantled in winter?

To prevent frost damage and extend the service life of your solar shower, we recommend draining it completely before the first frost and, if possible, storing it in a dry, frost-protected area. If the shower remains outdoors during winter, it is crucial to leave all lines open and ensure it is well-protected. Any residual water can freeze, potentially causing cracks or damage to the tank and internal pipes.
