Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - Inflatable Boats & Speedboats

🚣 MODEL COMPARISON & BUYING GUIDE

Which is the best inflatable boat for you?

The right inflatable boat depends on how it will be used:

Entry-level & leisure boats, such as Bestway Kondor Elite or Intex Challenger: These models are designed for use in pools, still waters and calm stretches of river. They are particularly lightweight, easy to handle and offer excellent value for money.

Leisure & fishing boats, such as Intex Seahawk or Excursion: These versatile boats are designed for longer trips. They offer enhanced features such as integrated fishing rod holders, additional seating and more robust material thickness.

Premium & speedboats, such as Aqua Marina U-DELUXE or AIRCAT Catamaran: These models are designed for sports and higher speeds. Rigid constructions such as drop stitch floors provide excellent shape retention and tipping stability, while an integrated transom allows outboard motors to be mounted directly.

How many people are the different boats designed for?

Our range includes models for different numbers of people and maximum load capacities:

Small models: for example, Bestway Kondor Elite 2000, designed for 1 adult and 1 child with a total weight of up to 120 kg.

Medium-sized models: for example, Intex Seahawk 3, for up to 3 adults, or Aqua Marina U-DELUXE, for 2 to 4 people, depending on the model length.

Large models: for example, Intex Excursion 5 or Bestway Hydro-Force Adventure Elite X5, designed for up to 5 people.

Note: In addition to the number of people, the maximum load capacity is crucial. This includes the total weight of passengers, luggage and motor. The specifications can be found in the product description.

⚙️ EQUIPMENT & MOTOR COMPATIBILITY

Are paddles and air pumps included?

Many leisure models are sold as complete sets. These sets, such as those from the Intex Excursion or Bestway Hydro-Force ranges, usually include suitable aluminium paddles or oars as well as a matching hand or foot pump. Premium models often also include carry bags, seat benches or repair sets. The exact accessories supplied depend on the respective model and manufacturer.

Can inflatable boats be fitted with a motor?

Motor compatibility depends on the type of boat:

Suitable for direct motor mounting: Premium models such as Aqua Marina U-DELUXE speedboats or AIRCAT catamarans have an integrated fixed transom made from wood or composite material, allowing petrol or electric motors to be mounted directly.

Suitable for optional motor mounting: Models such as the Intex Seahawk or Excursion feature special fastening eyelets at the stern. With a separately available motor mount, these models can be retrofitted with smaller electric motors or lightweight petrol motors.

Paddle boats only: Smaller leisure boats, such as the Kondor or Challenger series, do not have fittings for a motor mount and are not structurally designed to withstand the force generated by a motor.

What should be considered regarding registration and licence requirements when using a motor?

When using an electric or petrol motor on public waters, the legal regulations applicable in the area must be observed. Depending on the country, body of water and motor power, registration or marking requirements, as well as a boating licence, may be necessary. As the rules can vary significantly from place to place, it is advisable to check the regulations with the relevant authorities in advance.

Which type of pump is best suited for inflation?

Inflatable boats should only be inflated using manual hand and foot pumps or special electric low-pressure air pumps for inflatable boats. Workshop compressors must not be used, as they supply air at excessive pressure, which can cause irreparable damage to the welded seams or cause the air chambers to burst.
