Filter Balls

These filter balls from Steinbach are suitable for all commercially available sand filter systems and are made of 100% recyclable polyethylene.
700g corresponds to an amount of 25kg of filter sand (quartz sand). The polyethylene balls filter residues up to a size of 1.5μm (sand approx. 40μm).

Instructions

1. Open the filter tank of the sand filter system
2. Remove the existing filter media and clean the container
3. Fill the filter container with the filter balls (amount depends on the model, see manual)
4. Close the container and start the process as usual

Attention:

Since filter balls have a very high dirt absorption capacity, the dirt particles adhere very strongly inside the filter balls. The performance of the pump is usually not sufficient to wash out the dirt in commercially available filter systems. We therefore recommend washing the Filter Balls by hand; we do not recommend backwashing the filter system.
